Hi, I'm Trina

Operating a successful and balanced CPA firm is not a concept for me, it’s a reality, it's my daily life.

My Background

I am a solo Certified Public Accountant (CPA) tax practitioner located in South Pasadena, California. Operating a successful and balanced CPA firm is not a concept for me, it’s a reality, because it’s my daily life. In other words, I walk the talk and for good reason.

In addition to loving tax returns, I’m passionate about helping fellow small firm owners reform their business operations so they can thrive with their existing tax practices and leaving the profession.

I believe small tax practices can be profitable and valuable business models for their owners, and I reject the idea of advisory services as the ultimate solution for thriving as a small firm.

Why I want to help

Let’s turn it around! Young people are leaving this profession because of the bad rap of endless grinds and burn out.  There’s just not enough of us left, especially tax practitioners.

I provide right solutions! I don’t think of myself as a coach, a guru, or a consultant. Rather, I think of myself as a practical solutions implementor for small accounting firms. I help you make reforms in your business that will make a difference so you can enjoy being a tax CPA.

I care about this profession and results achieved through simple and tried business strategies.

You should have the opportunity to grow well! I love all-things regarding self-improvement, and I have spent endless hours applying certain principles to the practice of tax and accounting. I started out as an naïve rookie optimist, a people pleaser. I was caught on a treadmill—more for the sake of more. We’ll turn this  around in your life!

I want you to be successful! How? Through practical knowledge and hard work. I went through the entire spectrum of owning a firm. I started out serving as a generalist to everyone who came through the door. I bought two practices within 18 months, I sold a book of business, I fired clients, I raised my prices, implemented systems from scratch, hired employees, fired employees. Experience is a solid teacher

What makes me qualified to help other accountants?

For starters, I’ve designed a pretty damn good accounting practice where I practice what I love with clients that I love.

And this is how I define Damn Good:

Take 4 – 6 weeks off per year average

Only work with the best clients I love

Finish tax season by mid march

a week during tax season
